Indische Schulen

Hi,

heute waren wir also in einer der Schulen in denen wir die naechsten Tage zu Kindern, Studenten und Lehrern sprechen werden. Balti hatte gleich die groesste Zuhoererschaft; knapp 1000 Schueler im Alter von 5 bis 15. Es war beeindruckend wie sie am Anfang selber ein Anbetungslied sangen und und dann beteten. Dann erzaehlte Balti auf einfache Weise das Evangelium und machte zum Ende einen Aufruf wer Jesus in seinem Leben nachfolgen will. Alle Schueler standen auf. Das hatten wir schon fast erwartet, denn in Indien zeigt man Autoritaetspersonen viel Respekt. Es moegen viele aus diesem Grund unserm Aufruf gefolgt sein, doch wir sind ueberzeugt, dass die Botschaft vom Kreuz kraft hat und viele Kinder auch wirklich beruehrt waren und diesem Aufruf ernsthaft gefolgt sind.
Danach war Petra dran. Sie sprach zu den Lehrern. Hier ging es um den Juengling von Nain und dass wir unsere Herzen von Jesus fuer andere beruehren lassen.
Und weiter gings zur naechsten Schule in der Christina von Koeniging Esther erzaehlte die so mutig war zum Koenig zu gehen und so ihr ganzes Volk rettete. Dass Gott jeden eine Plan hat und uns genau kennt. Wir duerfen ihn bitten und er wird uns erhoeren.

Today we were at one of the schools we will be ministring at to the students and teachers during the coming days. Balti found himself in front of a congregation of one thousand students age 5-15. We were pretty impressed by them worshipping and praying in the beginning. Afterwards, Balti shared the gospel in a simple way and called the ones who wanted to give their life to Jesus. As expected everyone stood up, since the Indians are a people of great respect towards people in positions of authority. Probably many stood up for that reason but we are convinced that there was quite a number of kids who did get touched and want to follow Jesus seriously.
Then it was Petra's turn to address the teachers, quoting the story of the young man at Nain to stress the importance of our hearts being open to be touched by Jesus for others.
And off we went to the next school. Here, Christina shared about queen Esther who was courageaous enough to approach the king, thus saving her people. She spoke about God having a plan for each and everyone of us and thoroughly knowing us. We may ask him and he will hear.
